Rochester Symphony & Orchestra Chorale

In School Programs

Sounds of the Symphony

Each school year RSOC musicians travel to schools throughout Rochester and surrounding communities to share their love of music with school children. In this traveling program a group of four musicians goes into the classroom to play their instruments, explain how the instruments make music, and get children involved and asking questions.

Teachers don't have to do or pay for a thing. We provide study guides to help prepare the children for our visit and discuss it long after we've left.

Each participating student is given a voucher for a FREE ticket to a Rochester Symphony Orchestra & Chorale concert for themselves and an accompanying adult.

Each year we visit dozens of schools. If you are interested in bringing this program to your school, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
