 An Evening of Chamber Music

Image

Sat., Mar. 13, 7:30 p.m.

Christ United Methodist Church

We've never offered a concert like this -- from P.D.Q. Bach's most sidesplitting disaster to Vivaldi's choral masterpiece, we sample from the absurd to the profound in a musical showcase of RSOC talent.

Giovanni Gabrieli: Canzon duodecimi toni (for brass and organ)

Franz Schubert: Finale: Theme and Variations from Trout Quintet

André and Jacques Philidor: March for Two Pairs of Kettledrums

Gordon Jacob: Old Wine in New Bottles

Richard Wagner: Siegfried Idyll

P.D.Q. Bach: Schleptet in E-flat Major

Felix Mendelssohn: Finale Presto from Octet for Strings in E-flat Major, Op. 20

Thomas Gauger: Gainsborough (sextet for percussion)

Antonio Vivaldi: Gloria

Come early and join us at a Pre-concert Reception to enjoy delicious desserts from Daube’s Bakery and a special pre-concert chat with Maestro Jere Lantz. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is free to “An Evening of Chamber Music” ticket-holders, no preregistration necessary.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Aspiring Conductor Candidates will be present!

Concert sponsored by Davies Printing Company and Home Federal
