Barber, Beethoven and BrahmsSaturday, October 2, 2010, 7:30 p.m. Mayo Civic Center Presentation Hall Program Barber: Adagio for Strings Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 5 - guest artist Horacio Nuguid Brahms: Symphony No. 4 We open our season with our own version of classical music's "Three B's": Samuel Barber's heart-rending Adagio for Strings, Beethoven's Emperor concerto - his most heroic concerto for any instrument, and Brahms' richest symphony.
